Quality and Processing
Adelaide Industrial Sands produces drymix and building products sand with at least 99% silica content, making it chemically inert and relatively hard for high abrasion resistance. Low levels of soluble ions, alkalis, alkali oxides and silts help support durability in cementitious applications. All AIS sands are washed, dried and screened to meet industry standards and customer specification, with screen sizing closely monitored for consistent particle size and distribution. The range of round to sub-angular grain quartz shapes also allows rheology and other properties to be controlled in cementitious, elastomeric and epoxy compounds.
